How is the VCI Paper Created?
PH neutral crepe paper or plain paper saturated with volatile corrosion inhibitor to gain corrosion protection characteristics. The VCI packaging paper also can be coated with woven fabrics and one or two layers of polyethylene film to obtain waterproof feature and increased strength. Custom printing is available.
Applications of the VCI Packaging Paper
The VCI paper is suitable for packing a variety of carbon steel plates. We recommend the outer package for steel plates should be PM, PC or PD reinforced anti rust paper while the inner core can use PF coated VCI package. Where two packages meet should be sealed with adhesive tapes. After packing, add steel plates or plastic sheets to the outer package for increased protection.
We recommend keeping VCI paper dry, out of direct sunlight and sealed in their original shipping cartons, bags or containers while in storage. The shelf-life of VCI anti corrosion paper is 3 years starting from the date of manufacture.
